About

What is the i-SEA Fellowship?

A hybrid month-long programme designed to equip content creators with the knowledge, skills, and tools to become ethical and impactful digital storytellers.

The Influence for Impact in Southeast Asia (i-SEA) Fellowship Programme is an initiative of the Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube) at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI).

We invite applications from aspiring student creators who are ready to engage in important conversations on information integrity, digital media ethics, and the power of storytelling in the age of AI.

Through online masterclasses, mentorship, and a week-long in-person workshop and hackathon in Singapore, fellows will explore key topics including:

Online harms & misinformation Media law & ethics AI in storytelling Fact-checking tools Immersive journalism Hackathon challenges

Stories

Voices from i-SEA 2025

In their own words โ€” reflections shared by fellows from our inaugural cohort.

TikTok visit

"The masterclasses helped me a lot. We learned how to post content on TikTok, how to grow more engagement and more viewers โ€” very helpful for us as content creators."

Networking

"From the fellowship I got a lot of new knowledge โ€” from the masterclasses and the in-person classes. The other participants are so experienced; it's fun to talk and learn new things from them."

i-SEA 2025 closing ceremony

"My expectation was just workshops, but I didn't expect so much โ€” the visits to TikTok and MediaCorp. To see these kinds of things in the actual place is quite cool."

Hackathon

"After the masterclasses I learned a lot, especially from the fact-checkers and the professionals. I want to give back to the community in my home country with what I learned here."
